Where We Are

Our family owned, country estate Terraio is located in the heart of Tuscany, quite near to Florence in the parish of Empoli and just outside the tiny village of Monterappoli.

The working farm extends for a good 800 acres, over gentle hills, and on the banks of waters that divide the Valdarno and Valdelsa vallies. Cultivating mainly vineyards and olive groves, we offer a select production of good Chianti wine and excellent Tuscan, extra virgin olive oil. Set amidst this landscape, close to the very heart of the farm, and neighbouring our historical family home Villa Terraio, is the family run ranch Il Terraio, where we successfully breed Quarter Horses.

The ranch stretches over an area of 20 acres and boasts 10 very large paddocks, 46 stables, a 20m diameter covered round arena, and two outdoor arenas of 40 x 60m and 20 x 40m respectively.
